Youth Hostel – Bois Luzy Castle
Bois Luzy Castle – Marseille
Multi-activity space for a youth hostel.
Space organisation and optimisation. This room is both a relaxing space, a social space, and a computer space. The idea was to create sort of activities boxes so that each activity has its proper space but can still be part of the global space.
Teamwork / collaboration with :
Faustine Falaise – designer
Philippe Delahautemaison – architect
Rooftop Apartment – Nice
ROOFTOP APARTMENT
Space design.
Creation of the space on level 1: a parental suite with its private dressing room and bathroom, one other bedroom, a bathroom and independent toilets.
Creation of an extension at level 2 in order to have a bigger living room.
Challenge: The clients wanted to always see the sea from the existing jacuzzi despite the extension. Create interior spacesthat make you feel like you are outside. Create a interior – exterior continuity.
Law Firm
THE LAWYER’S OFFICE
The challenge here was clear, more than just relooking his office, the lawyer wanted to be messy without this could be noticed by his clients.
As most of the mess was due to files and stacks of papers lying on the floor, we created a pattern with shelves on the wall. The shelves were boxes designed to perfectly fit the files. The files lying one the floor look part of the pattern. The chosen furniture, accessories and artworks enhanced this impression.
Coffee & Bakery – Marseille
COFFEE SHOP & BAKERY
Decoration mission.
The challenge was to create a welcoming and warm place with a very limited budget. The choice of the marine industrial theme for this place allowed us to work with low cost material such as barrels and ropes. The walls were covered with wood plank giving a singular graphic identity to the shop. Outside, second hand furniture and creation of a swing table so that guests could easily sit on the U-shaped bench.
Firm’s Balcony
FIRM’S BALCONY
Installation of a balcony where it will be fun to sit down and easy to move around despite the air conditioning exhaust blocks that cannot be moved.
Creation of Corian and bamboo forms around these blocks to create a bench and a table while hiding them.
Waiting Room
THE WAITING ROOM
This waiting room was a challenge for many reasons.
Located in front of the entrance with a long corridor running beside, people coming in and out at all time. We are in a lawyer firm dealing with victims rights, most people went through traumatic experiences. The appointment could be stressful for them, hard to feel at ease in such a situation.
The idea was to have a vegetal separation between the corridor and the space, and also to have a big tree in the middle, just to give people something to look at. Maybe while their eyes are running along the branches, their mind can find some little peace.. Magazines and newspapers are at the bottom of the tree, this way people can feel like there is something between them when picking one.
Project – 9 m2
STAFFS KITCHEN – 9m2
The challenge on this kitchen was to optimise the space so that a snacking table, a dinning table, a sink, a dishwasher, a fridge, a microwave, a large workplace and some kitchen cabinets would fit in 9m2 without compromising the ergonomics.
